ONTOS REUNION JUNE 2003 QUANTICO Here is the information about the upcoming reunion for Ontos held at Quantico, Virginia during June 9th through 11th 2003.The following is a guide to tell you of the events that are planned and the costs. SCHEDULE: June 9th- Arrival during the day. There will be a point of contact at the hotel to give you more detailed information about what's happening. There are restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. The hotel has given us a room to meet later that night for those who want to socialize.We will have a couple of key personnel there to help your party with any questions or needs you may have. June 10th- At 1:00 PM we will be boarding buses to go to Washington, DC to see attractions and then have dinner. The cost of dinner is the individual responsibility. After dinner we will go to the Marine Corps War Memorial to watch the Sunset Parade. After the Sunset Parade we will head back to the hotel. June 11th- At 9:00 AM we will boarding buses to leave to MCB Quantico where we will go to Weapons Training Battalion and attend a command brief. There will be a Weapons Static display, Individual Simulated Marksmanship Trainer-Video simulated shooting. Around noon we will be eating in the Marine Corps chow hall for lunch. After lunch we will load up the buses and head toward where the Ontos is being restored. While there our plan is also for those who are interested in going to the Marine Museum a bus will take you there and will return to where the Ontos is. At about 5:00 PM everyone will board the buses back to the hotel. At 7:00 PM we will be having our Banquet at the hotel. There will be a cash bar before and after dinner. After dinner will be a time to gather and socialize. June12th- Departure Day. COST: Hotel: The hotel for the reunion is the Holiday Inn Express located in Dumfries, Virginia. The address is: 17133 Dumfries Road Dumfries, Virginia 22026 Tel: 703-221-1141 The Holiday Inn Express has a large pool, complimentary Deluxe Continental Breakfast.Reservations can be made for the dates June 7th through June 11th. Coffee makers and irons also provided in each room. When calling to make reservations, you will need to make them with "Ontos Reunion" and the group code is "ORG". The rate is $69.95 + tax= $75.56 per night. We have blocked in 75 rooms, so make your reservations soon. There are restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. Reunion: The whole package for transportation, banquet, and Quantico chow hall is: Ontos Veteran- $45.00 Guest-$32.00 Children under 12- $18.00 The difference is we will charge only the Ontos Veteran $13.00 for Transportation cost but not to his family or guest.
